Montgomery’s 33 Landmarks

More facts

Did you know that The City of Montgomery has 33 buildings that are listed as Montgomery Landmarks?  Of those, eight are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The oldest church, The Fellowship Baptist Church (aka Hopewell Montgomery Church), was built in 1829. The oldest building, the Yost Tavern, was built in 1805.  Both are located in the Historic District of Montgomery.  The Johnson Nature Preserve and the Hopewell Cemetery (the Pioneer section) are two landmarks that are not buildings.
