Cooper Road water main work underway
The Greater Cincinnati Water Works (GCWW) and Sunesis Construction are installing a 36 inch diameter water transmission line along Cooper Road from west of Kenwood Road to Delray Drive and on Delray Drive between Cooper Road and Castleford Lane.
As of press time, the project was expected to be underway in the City of Blue Ash between Kenwood Road and the United States Post Office facility. Due to the extensive amount of work within the area, work in Blue Ash is expected to continue through mid or late April during the hours of 6 p.m. and 6 a.m.
A specific construction schedule for work along Cooper Road east of the post office facility to Delray Drive is not yet confirmed. The installation of the nearly one-third mile of water transmission main on this portion of Cooper Road must be completed between June 7 and August 13, with working hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and — if needed — between 6 to 10 p.m.
Work along Delray Drive is expected to begin in early May. If water main installation begins along Delray Drive prior to June 4, work may not begin before 9 a.m. due to the project’s proximity to the Sycamore Schools’ school bus storage area. During water main installation along Delray Drive, traffic may be detoured around construction via Cooper Lane. Access for property owners and emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.

Other GCWW projects planned for 2010 include water main installation along Montgomery Road between Pfeiffer Road and Schoolhouse Lane. This project is scheduled for construction during the June 7 to August 25 timeframe. The project, however, has not been advertised for bid by the GCWW.
