THE ROMANTIC PIANO FEATURED AT THE
BLUE ASH/MONTGOMERY SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA’S
VALENTINE’S CONCERT
Treat your Valentine to some beautiful music at the Blue Ash/Montgomery Symphony Orchestra's annual Valentine's Concert. The concert at the Church of the Saviour, 8005 Pfeiffer Road, at 7:00 PM on Sunday, February 21, features Beethoven's Coriolan Overture, Offenbach's Barcarole from Tales of Hoffman and Overture from Orpheus in the Underworld, romantic film music by Michel LeGrand and, as a special treat, two movements from Rachmonioff's Piano Concerto No. 3 in D Minor with soloist Kevin Bao, a 2008 BAMSO Young Artist Competition Winner.
Young Kevin Bao, the winner of the 2008 Young Artist Competition, keyboard category, is barely in his teens but his musical talents belie his age, as he performs with the Orchestra. Kevin has been featured twice on From the Top, NPR’s popular program showcasing nation’s most exceptional young pre-collegiate classical musicians, and has played for live concert tapings at Carnegie Hall in New York City and Cincinnati’s Music Hall.
This is sure to be a delightful evening.
The concert is free and open to the public. The Orchestra appreciates the support provided by the City of Blue Ash, the City of Montgomery, the Fine Arts Fund, and the Ohio Arts Council, as well as that of our individual contributors.
